Expectant Waiting

We are the people of instant gratification.  We put things in the microwave and they’re cooked within seconds, we get food out of windows within two minutes of ordering, have information instantly available at the touch of our fingertips and travel at speeds unheard of in previous generations.  So having to wait for something important can seem unreasonable; even cruel at times. Every Christmas I seem to get bogged down in the details.  I think it's because I'm a first-born and I have the incredible sense of responsibility to do things perfectly, from the way I fold the dishtowels to the way I hang the Christmas wreath.
